Simon Mazazate, 41, lives in Mwenezi district, Zimbabwe, with his wives and children. In 2024, Simon joined a beekeeping project led by Score Against Poverty and LINCZ and received ten beehives, of which seven were successfully colonized by honeybees.
In January 2026, he harvested and processed honey from four of the colonized hives, producing 100 litres of honey, generating a USD $1,000 in income through honey sales. This income has enabled the family to meet their household needs and invest in productive household assets.
